The debates on human development and sustainability perspective remained at the centre of programmes and policy for a long. Human development can’t sustain without pushing the interlinked developmental issues to shape the goals of sustainable development. So, influencing the policies institutionally through research and evidence for an equitable society can be a leading step for the persisting issue. In the line, we at Ujjwal are also engaged in issue-based research for evidence accumulation and alternative programme and policy development. This is done using the well-resourced government data sources. Currently, we are working at the community level and communicating through programmes, strategies and interventions.
The Ujjwal germination started long back in 2009 to cater the need of rural, deprived, marginalised, remote and unprivileged. The rise of confidence and formation of Ujjwal embodied supporting, pushing, and enhancing capabilities of those who seem to have potential to grow but needed ignition.
