As many parents can’t afford even primary school education for their children may keep the young children either out of school and many times result in dropouts. The possible reasons may be lack of additional study materials, gender roles, poverty etc plays roles. With such upfront, an initiative to support education to all through providing study materials to primary school children and minimise drop out and out of school children, although over the period drop out at the primary level too has declined. Foundation initiated supporting primary school children in the selected government school in the Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. A glimpse of it can be found here.
The Ujjwal germination started long back in 2009 to cater the need of rural, deprived, marginalised, remote and unprivileged. The rise of confidence and formation of Ujjwal embodied supporting, pushing, and enhancing capabilities of those who seem to have potential to grow but needed ignition.
