Policy briefs are strong communication material to serve as a vehicle for providing evidence-based policy inputs. It helps informed decisions of its readers, especially policy and planning people engaged in formulation and execution. We believe in the ‘no one size fits all’ approach when writing policy briefs because the issue investigated and the audience shapes its key elements. A convincing policy brief should be those which communicate the necessity and focus on the advantages of our policy advice. As many of us are consistently working on public policy space, we are indulging in developing policy briefs separately for the public and policy planners separately.
